For those who are into haute culture, there is much to cheer about on the high fashion handbags front, with two major brands, Chanel and Coach announcing a new range and no price rises, respectively.
Chanel has launched exclusive, high fashion designer handbags with its new range called Chanel Boy Handbag Collection, fall 2011.
The Boy bags will, from September, be up or grabs and be available in a price range of $2500 to $4300.
On another front, Coach is finding many takers for its $400+ handbags and thus is planning on moving up from the relatively cheap fashion bags that they had to produce in the wake of the recession.
Having said that, the handbags company has no price increases in the pipeline, despite rising input costs.
